Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires you to be older to agree to online-service terms on your own, you may use an account only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and accepted these Terms for you.

Creangă provides vocabulary, spaced-repetition reviews, grammar lessons, stories, audio, and progress tracking. Some vocabulary can be browsed without an account. An account is required for personalized learning features.

Features may change as the service develops. We may add, remove, improve, or discontinue a feature, while taking reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disruption.

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping your credentials and multi-factor authentication methods secure. Do not share your account or use another person's account. Notify us promptly at contact@dacialearning.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

Community and forum posting are not currently available in Creangă. If we introduce those features, we will identify the available participation, reporting, blocking, and moderation controls before users begin posting.

If community features become available, you will retain ownership of posts, replies, and other material you submit. You will grant Dacia Learning LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that material only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You may not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening, deceptive, infringing, private, or spam content through any submission feature we make available. We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users and the service.

When paid subscriptions are offered, the price, billing period, included features, and any trial terms shown at checkout will control. Unless checkout says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel through the provider used to purchase the subscription. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while access continues through the paid period.

Payments may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or another disclosed provider. Dacia Learning LLC does not store full payment-card details. Taxes and currency conversions may vary by location and payment provider.

For a web subscription, you may expressly request immediate access before checkout. If you do, access begins as soon as the purchase is confirmed. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that once performance of the digital service begins, you lose any statutory 14-day withdrawal right that can legally be waived. This does not limit a right that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

Refund eligibility is determined by applicable law and the policy of the payment provider. App Store refund requests are handled by Apple, Google Play requests are handled under Google's refund process, and web purchase questions may be sent to contact@dacialearning.com. Nothing here limits a non-waivable consumer right.

You may use Creangă for personal language learning. You may not:

• scrape, copy, bulk-download, sell, republish, or redistribute service content without permission;

• bypass access controls, rate limits, subscription checks, or security measures;

• probe or interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, or attempt unauthorized access;

• impersonate another person, harass users, infringe rights, or use the service for unlawful activity.

• misuse the service in any other way that could harm users, Dacia Learning LLC, our providers, or the security, availability, or intended operation of Creangă.

Creangă, its software, design, original lessons, editorial material, and other service content are owned by or licensed to Dacia Learning LLC. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose.

Paid content is licensed, not sold. Protected images or audio may contain an invisible per-account marker used to investigate unauthorized redistribution. You may not remove, defeat, or obscure a content-protection measure.

If you send suggestions or corrections, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment. This does not transfer ownership of personal information or other material that these Terms say remains yours.

You may permanently delete your account from the Account screen. Deletion removes account-associated data as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by an external provider, so cancel it through that provider first.

We may terminate access for a serious or repeated violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions, will survive.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free content, or a particular learning outcome. Language explanations and translations are educational material, not professional advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dacia Learning LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid to Dacia Learning LLC during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits. In those places, these limits apply only to the extent allowed, and mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Dacia Learning LLC in its place of organization, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. If consumer law gives you a mandatory local forum or other non-waivable rights, those rights are not changed by this section.

We may revise these Terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required for a material change. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
